Distinguishing Azns from Asians
[another satirical, FARNI AS email... juz thought i'll share some contents... sooo true =P. Hui]
Ways to tell apart Azns from Asians
You are Indonesian if... you talk really fast, with rapid tongue movements and your favourite food is mee goreng.
You are Japanese if... you are obsessed with your hair, car and clothes and you know you are superior to all other Asians.
You are Korean if... you know what a Dalki, Pucca and Mashimaro is and you know you are superior to all other Asians.
You know you are Chinese if... you think you're the smartest people of the world and you know you are superior to all other Asians.
You know you are Vietnamese if... you MUST have fish sauce with every meal and you dine at restaurants with "Pho" on its sign board.
You know you are Philipino if... you want to be in the entertainment business, even though you have a day job as an engineer, accountant or nurse.
You know you are Thai if... no matter what you eat, it's not greasy or spicy enough.
Hehehe... just thought it was kinda interesting... and I'm seriously wondering if those statements are true... I know the Chinese ones are! =P... hope it brought u some laughter for the day... or mabbe frustration...=S

Chinese Names
Caller: Hello, can I speak to Annie Wan? (Anyone)
Operator: Yes, you can speak to me.
Caller: No, I want to speak to Annie Wan!
Operator: You are talking to someone! Who is this?
Caller: I'm Sam Wan. And I need to talk to Annie Wan! It's urgent.
Operator: I know you are someone and you want to talk to anyone! But what's this urgent matter about?
Caller: Well... just tell my sister Annie Wan that our brother Noel Wan was involved in an accident. Noel Wan got injured and now Noel Wan is being sent to the hospital. Right now, Avery Wan is on his way to the hospital.
Operator: Look, if no one was injured and no one was sent to the hospital, then the accident isn't an urgent matter! You may find this hilarious but I don't have time for this!
Caller: You are so rude! Who are you?
Operator: I'm Saw Lee .
Caller: Yes! You should be sorry. Now give me your name!!

Hehehe... hope u found dat as amusing as I did! XD... gawd it's funny as! Heee... go the chinese names =P.

Tuesday Night Nostalgia
[OMG... missed a few days... =P... still makin an effort though! Hui hui]
"World Refugee Day Keep the flame of hope alive" read the wristband I received on Tuesday night. After another normal school day, I had something to look forward to- my dance performance at the Ruby Room at night. Some last minute decisions were made for us to perform, and it was such a good experience that I'm so glad this opportunity came along.
Celebrating World Refugee Day, Dixie Marshall hosted the ceremony that night, where refugees received their citizenship certs and made their pledge of loyalty to Australia. There were other performers amongst the entertainment sect, and we were only one of the few artists. A Spanish musician sang whilst playing on a miniature version of a guitar, and I heard that he is familiar with about 10 instruments. 10 INSTRUMENTS! XD... gawd is he talented =P. Our dances turned out to be quite awesome, even though there were major glitches... but all in all, it was wonderful. Upon performing our second dance, the audio sect couldn't get it started, and we all had to pose for about 5 minutes... in those excruciating-painstaking-hard to balance poses =P. I still have a bruise today from kneeling too long... =) ... ah well, it was all good.
The "light refreshment" after the ceremony was so EXTREMELY not light that I had such a great time indulging in nibblies. Massive satay chicken sticks, dim sims, cakes, quiches, spring rolls, samosas... mnmmnn... I can still taste that chicken! Also, meeting the other people present was awesome, and the young child who received his citizenship cert that night came up to us and said "How are you?" in Chinese! XD... the excitement! (he's African btw... O_O)
It was a meaningful night where there were smiling faces everywhere, where we all joked happily with one another. On top of that, the performances were magnificent, and the food was unbelievable. I still wear the wristband today... probably till the end of the week. This opportunity was such a highlight of my week so far... that atmosphere... sooo nostalgic =P.

Ways to get ur bum SORE
[Hehe... didn't get time to post on the weekend. Let's get to it again XD... hui hui]
Sunday- woke up feeling... pumped, and tired... at the same time. Pumped = gonna ride to the city wif Matt bumz! Tired = slept really late the night before coz of training + TV + computer ... =P. Anywayz, ways to get ur bum sore... the best way is to ride to the city! Legs get tired, they cry out in pain; Bum gets sore, and you can only complain! ><... gah... seriously... bike seats are not comfortable no matter how u try to alter them- adding padding, cushion, increasing its size... man... nothin works.
While the bum was sore and complaints were made, the view was spectecular on the way to the city. Even though the ride took 40-45 minutes, along the way there were simply endless marvellous entertainment. This entertainment is simply the look on the on-coming faces of passing cyclists. Expressions ranged from angry-gonna-kill-someone to OMG-i-can't-take-dis-no-more. Pedestrians were also numerous, but were more composed and were less entertaining, as they did not have nearly as exotic faces. Aaaahhh... the response when you smile at them as a friendly gesture; and the fact that they all wore seemingly VERY uncomfortable clothing were one of the highlights that could distract you from ur sore bum.
The way back was even more painful, as the bum encounters once again, an excruiciatingly unfriendly resting place. There were less cyclists to provide entertainment this time, so only the view could distract you... or simply the smell of the river during some parts of the ride. Of course, conversation with Matt bumz were also effective... but in the end, it was hard to fall asleep as it wasn't even comfortable lying down in bed with ur sitting bones hurting =).
Wanna give ur bum a good workout and let it experience hardship? Ride to the city.

Networks- the way we bond...
[hehe... seriously back for gud now... posting another one today. I'm really trying to post one everyday! Hui Hui]
Starting from this year, I severed by connections with Chinese School, where now I only go for dance and karaoke classes, not the studious learning part of the day. I absolutely miss the class, and it made me realise how networks are so important in each and everyone of our lives.
Networks- a corny sounding, yet very accurate word to describe the way humans bond. We first establish contact, followed by connections, then the addition to the networks. Companionship, friendship, family relationships... no matter how we might like to bond, it all ends up in the heap of never ending networks. Once new friends are made, known friends may also be introduced, slowly expanding the existing bonds and complicating them, like nurturing that one seed into endless blossoms of beautiful, sweet, enchanting flowers. It may take time and effort, but the fruitful results are breath taking and unbelievably satisfying.
Some may say that one of the biggest weaknesses of our human race is that of our emotions- how we are controlled by our emotional and sensual judgements, rather than our clear, logical critiques.
I disagree.
Despite the fact that it may be a weakness, it is what being human is all about- humane. It is unimaginable what the world would be like without networks, love, relationships, connections... what the loneliness, emptiness, bitterness? I rather live in a world full of love and hate, than in a world where none of it exists at all.
Peeps from Chinese skool... soz to ditch the class, and yeh... i do still miss u all a lot. Glad to have met da new dudes and dudets... u've all been awesome. Glad to have u all.

Revisiting, Feeling it all over again
[hehehe... relli bak for gud... trying to post somethin everyday. ^^... trying my best! XD... neehooz... check dis one out.. hui]
Was wondering about wat to post today... and suddenly... as i was flipping through the endless amount of junk in my room... i came across this poem i wrote on the plane trip to m'sia last summer holz. i was writing to Boo... and dis was a poem i made for her. pretti farni stuff.. so yeh.. i'll share it here... ENJOY! XD
~~~
Because I was bored on the plane,
I decided to play a little game,
even though it's quite lame,
this is how it became.
I decided to rhyme your name,
with words that have purpose and hopefully aim,
hoping it turns out different and not the same,
coz then I'll feel embarassed,
Oh, the shame!
Here it goes: (plz read in an American accent, it rhymes betta that way =P)
My very good friend Rebecca,
has nick names ablong the lines of double-decka,
she's into coffee, especially mocha,
and she's a clutz, a full stacker.
On the bright side though, she's a joker,
a funny, bright, bubbly talker,
who's not into sports, such as the WACA,
she rather watch TV whilst enjoying a cracker.
To speak of ambitions, it's that dream car,
she wants to drive vintage, an elegant old bonker,
I would get you one 4 ur birthday if I won pocker,
which is highly unlikely, unless I was the Broker!
~~~
What dyu think? =)... i tried my best, and i was seriously bored on the plane. ^^... ehehe... neehooz.. i neva actually got a response from Boo... so yeh... hopefully she did like it. ... getting late now... time for bed... skool agen tomolow... =P... hope da poem made u smile, if u had a gloomy day. =)
